I saw quite the story on the local news. A man intentionally swerved onto the side walk to hit five kids walking home from school. He was not drunk, he was "depressed". I thought about the logic of "I'm depressed, maybe I'll run someone over". It didn't make much sense to me UNTIL:
I miss him. I can still hear him, see him... but he's not there. I talk to him sometimes. I'd like to think he is listening, but deep down I know he's gone...
My husband was once full of life. He loved the outdoors and all that went with it, like fishing and looking for bugs. Then, on September 25, 2007, he got sick. I should have seen the warning signs leading up to it, they were obvious. I ignored them. I was sure he would always be with me.
The world would be a safer place if more of us carried guns.
I had an idea for a website. When you're driving behind someone who is a terrible driver remember their license plate number and when you get home enter it onto my site. When you add a license plate, you will select the locaton of the offense (eg. Austin, Tx), then check any of the following that apply:
I took my now 2 month old daughter to the pediatrician the other day to get her first shots. At the end of the visit the Dr. asked if I had any questions or concerns. I mentioned that Ryleigh (my daughter) feels like she's falling every time I lay her flat. (I know this because she throws her hands in the air and tries to grab on to something- if nothing is within reach she screams like crazy) I knew that this reflex (known as the moro reflex) was normal and they grow out of it. My question was how much longer will she be scared like this.
The pediatrician said, "Let me find out for you." She turned to her computer...
